Facilitator-Scribe

When you have a large convening of experts and want to hear everyone's take, you host breakout sessions and -- ideally -- have a facilitator and/or scribe assigned to each. As facilitator, my role is to keep the conversation progressing according to planners' agenda; as scribe, my role is to take notes on everything that is said (recording when possible) and report my observations back to planners. I specialize in doing both - simultaneously - in virtual settings.
Recent projects:
Through August, I facilitate Texas PRIDE Health Collaborative's monthly "Chat & Chew" conversations, which distill each month-long conversation about LGBTQ+ health into actionable studies that will partner clinical and community institutions. See the announcement.
National Institute on Aging's Future of Population-Based Studies in ADRD Research: Setting Future Scientific Priorities workshop. Guided and documented three breakout sessions of 6-12 academics and experts discussing future directions for population studies infrastructure, practices, and funding regarding Alzheimer's Disease.
